When Chief Obi, a politically exposed Nigerian on a diplomatic passport lands at London Heathrow airport and seeks political asylum he is instead arrested for laundering billions of pounds stolen by the political masters in Nigeria. Now on the run from them. If he is going to get the protection he seeks from the British government, he needs to start talking fast. Bob Dillon is called to represent him in what seems like a straightforward criminal case.

However, as the case unravels revealing a very complex, much deeper web of deceit, political corruption and international criminality at the highest levels, the MI5 keep both client and lawyer firmly in their sight. Things are about to get even tougher for Dillon. He finds himself at the centre of a storm when his rich client disappears – presumed murdered. The physical evidence suggests a state sponsored murder pointing a finger of blame at the Nigerian regime. The British government is swift to hold the Nigerian president responsible and threatens to invade the African country to bring him to justice. A bloodbath seems inevitable as neither side wants to lose face. Dillon, deep up to his neck in the emotion and conflict that go against everything he learned at law school has a tough choice to make
